Borrowing its title from Chico Buarque’s O Que Será (À Flor da Terra), this exhibition brings together a collection of projects that look at the visible world while searching for what often goes unnoticed.
The proposals presented here explore systems, behaviours, infrastructures, technologies, and cultural practices that shape everyday life. They address invisible forms of labour, hidden networks of dependence, environmental disruption, digital rituals, migration, identity, productivity, belonging, and collective memory. Some explore the present through research and observation; others speculate on alternative realities and possible futures.
Together, they reflect a generation of designers engaged with the complexity of the world they inhabit and committed to using design as a tool for inquiry, reflection, and discussion. Joana Areal – Course Coordinator
